Dog & Pickle – An Evening with West Ham Legends

We were recently invited to the Dog & Pickle in Ongar, Essex for an Evening with West Ham legends, Tony Gale and James Collins.

The menu started with a beef sharing platter, onion focaccia, whipped beef dripping butter, slow roast short rib croquets, gravy emulsion, beef tea with truffle brioche and chicken parfait.

Followed by a steak board to share for mains, tomahawk 45-day dry aged steaks served pink, beef shin and bone marrow mac & cheese, grilled organic corn on the cobs with beef butter, sweet pickles onion rings, thick cut triple cooked steak chips, watercress and shallot, steak sauces – bearnaise, blue cheese and pepper.

As if that wasn’t enough dinner then finished with a generous cheese board!
