Villa Schinosa are based in Trani in Puglia on the heel of Italy. Puglia is often described as the California of Italy partly due to its fertile soils and temperate climate. Schinosa is a family winery owned by the Minutolo family. The estate grows olives, cherries and nuts as well as grapes. This olive oil is made from Coratina, Peranzana and F.S.17 varieties of olives. The olives are stone ground and cold pressed to extract the best oil. This olive oil has a mild peppery flavour and is suited to drizzling on salads as well as meats and seafood.
