Carodorum is a family bodega in the Toro region, located on the Duero in Castile, close to the border with Portugal. With a vineyard area of only sixteen hectares it is one of the smallest wineries in the region. The Rodríguez brothers have achieved international success, proving that small scale can still mean high quality, especially when you combine passion, experience and excellent grapes! The name Carrodorum is a combination of the name of Carmen Rodríguez Méndez and the ancient name of the river Duero, in Latin Dorum. Tinta de Toro is the local version of Tempranillo.
Hand harvested in a vineyard over half a century old. The low yield of old shrubs ensures the fruit`s essence. After fermentation, the wine aged fifteen months in French oak barrels.
