Aromatic with clean, fresh citrus and lime notes and fruity flavours of lemons, peaches, pears and apples.
Great on its own or with seafood and Mediterranean dishes.
From the winery Bodegas del Medievo in Aldeanueva de Ebro in the Rioja Baja district. This fine Rioja dry white is made from carefully selected Viura grapes, blended with Sauvignon Blanc.
The grapes are racked in stainless steel and macerated for 7-8hrs, after which the first and finest juice is extracted. The must ferments for 12 days at controlled temperature. The wine is then clarified, decanted and is stabilised in an isothermal tank at -5dec C, which enhances the fresh aromas of the wine.
The vineayards of Bodegas del Medievo extend to the highest part of Aldeanueva de Ebro. Taking advantage of the land areas with very poor of quality and little depth, which are ideal conditions for the growth of extremly good quality grapes.
