Altana di Vico Salento Rosso is made from Sangiovese and Negroamaro grapes, producing a smooth unoaked wine with classic red and dark fruit flavours and soft in style with a hint of spice.
The grapes are crushed and undergo temperature controlled fermentation on the skins. This is followed by ageing in stainless steel tank and then early bottling to conserve the fruit driven character of this light red.
Our Altana di Vico wines are produced by Carlo Botter a family owned wine operation which is now in its third generation. The grapes are sourced from the region of Salento which is located in Puglia on Italy`s heel. Made from indigenous grape varieties the wines offer easy drinking styles that have a wide appeal.
