Marsac Seguinau is situated in the commume of Soussans close to the village of Margaux. The estate is 10 hectares in size and the average age of the vines is over 30 years old. Unusually for Margaux the property uses a high percentage of Merlot grapes in the final wine, which gives it a very attractive rich yet rounded approachable style.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by ageing in oak barriques for around 12 months, 25% of which are renewed each year.
The superb vineyard of Marsac Séguineau covers 10 hectares in the heart of the Soussan commune. Since 2001, Château Marsac Séguineau and the neigbouring Château La Tour de Mons were acquired by the Credit Agricole Group (which also own the Paaillac Classified Growth, Ch. Grand Puy Ducasse), therefore sharing management and technical staff. Produced with the same care and attention as its neighbour, Château Marsac Séguineau is an expressive wine, powerful, elegant and typical of the best Margaux crus.
