Chateau Lepine is located s.w. of St Emilion. Rich with juicy, plummy fruit flavours and made exclusively from Merlot grapes.
Good with roast lamb, duck or your favourite steak.
Chateau Lepine is situated in Loupiac, some 25 miles s.w. of St Emilion on the right hand bank of the Garonne River. The local conditions suit the Merlot grape and this wine is made exclusively from this variety. The use of Merlot helps to produce a rich yet soft, fruit driven red Bordeaux, which is deliciously easy drinking and perfect to offer by the glass.
Made from 100 % Merlot grapes which have had a brief fermentation on their skins, the wine is then aged in tank before bottling in the following spring. This is a modern, soft fruit driven Merlot.
Chateau Lepine is the original name of Chateau du Cros, which is owned by the Boyer family. The average age of the vines is over 40 years old and the grapes are grown on the hilly slopes on the right bank of the Garonne river some 25 miles South of Bordeaux.
